Why staff training is a critical element in fire safety planning
Although building construction, interior finish, fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and configuration of the means of egress all play a vital role in keeping your staff safe, another “system” that is equally important is the safety training of the staff. While all of the aforementioned built-in systems are crucial to safety, an improper response by the staff can result in an undesirable, even disastrous, outcome. The role of the on-site workforce at the time of a fire necessitates some basic responsibilities that must be developed, practiced, and implemented as a part of safety plan for the facility. A successful outcome when a fire occurs is often a direct result of the staff planning and drilling, and the cooperation that transpires during an emergency.
Express Fire Protection believes in the importance of providing safety education to its customers and the public some of our customers are corporate offices, commercial and industrial buildings, local and county government offices, hospitals, assisted living facilities, schools, retail stores, churches, restaurants, and condominium associations.
All courses meet NFPA training standards. All participants completing any training can be provided with a certificate of completion.
